How Your Candle Is Stored
When you light an Everlit Candle, we create a secure digital wallet for you automatically. This is called a "custodial wallet" — we manage the technical details so you don't have to.
Your candle exists as an NFT (non-fungible token) on the Solana blockchain, which means:
- It's permanently recorded and cannot be lost
- You truly own it — it belongs to your email address
- You can view it anytime by signing into your account
Your Options
Keep It Simple (Recommended)
Leave your candle in your Everlit Candle account. We'll take care of everything — no extra apps, no passwords to remember, no technical knowledge needed.
Best for: Most users who want a peaceful, simple experience.
Transfer to Your Own Wallet
Move your candle to a personal Solana wallet like Phantom. This gives you full direct control and lets you see your candle in other apps.
Best for: Users familiar with crypto who want full ownership.
Setting Up Phantom Wallet
If you choose to transfer your candle to your own wallet, here's how to get started:
- Download the Phantom app from phantom.app or your app store
- Create a new wallet and save your recovery phrase somewhere safe
- In Everlit Candle, go to "My Candles" and select "Transfer"
- Enter your Phantom wallet address
- Confirm the transfer
Important: Never share your recovery phrase with anyone. Everlit Candle will never ask for it.
